KARACHI: Federal Minister Planning, Development and Reform Prof. Dr. Ahsan Iqbal will inaugurate the newly setup Center for Bioequivalence Studies and Clinical Research (CBSCR), University of Karachi (UoK) on Saturday.
The inaugural ceremony will be held at International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi. The CBSCR-UoK is a research extension of Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (PCMD) (International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences).”
This was stated by Director ICCBS-UoK Prof. Dr. Mohammad Iqbal Choudhary, while presiding over an official meeting held at HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry, UoK here on Thursday.
He said that the ceremony will be held on August 22 (Saturday) at 09:30 am at Prof. Salimuzzaman Siddiqui Auditorium-ICCBS. The Federal Minister Prof. Dr. Ahsan Iqbal will deliver the inaugural lecture, Vice Chancellor UoK Prof. Dr. Mohammad Qaiser, Patron- in- Chief of ICCBS and former Chairman Higher Education Commission Prof. Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman, Director ICCBS Prof. Dr. Mohammad Iqbal Choudhary, Chairman H.E.J. Foundation Aziz Latif Jamal and Chairperson Dr. Punjwani Memorial Trust Nadira Panjwani will also express their views in the ceremony,” he added.
He said that CBSCR offered for the first time in Pakistan a unique facility of ‘certified reference laboratory’ that would conduct bioequivalence evaluation and development of generic pharmaceutical products in full compliance with the regulatory authorities in Europe, USA and Japan.
