Foolproof security made for LG polls: DG Rangers

KARACHI: Director General Rangers Maj Gen Bilal Akbar has said that foolproof security measures have been taken to ensure peace during local bodies elections. He said they have come nearer to those behind attack on the military police personnel, adding Karachi operation will continue until the elimination of the last terrorist and target killer.

According to details, DG Rangers Maj Gen Bilal Akbar and Additional IGP Mushtaq Mehar reviewed the security of the main procession of Chehlum Imam Hussain (RA) on Thursday.

On this occasion, talking to media DG Rangers said that terrorists cannot discourage the law enforcers. Cowardly attacks will further strengthen our commitment. Progress is achieved in investigation of the attack on military police personnel.

Talking about security during the LB elections, DG assured that foolproof security measures have already be taken. People should come out their homes and cast their vote without any fear.

About Karachi operation, the DG said that it will continue till end of the last terrorist and target killer.
