Former minister joins PTI

Peshawar: Former provincial minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province Alhaj Mohammad Yousaf Tarand and Akbar Namoos Khan, brother of Fateh Mohammad Khan of Allai have joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf along with their supporters, other family members and well wishers. They announced their joining in their meeting with the PTI Chief Imran Khan and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak at Banni Gala, Islamabad Tuesday.

The provincial president of the PTI Mohammad Azam Swati, General Secretary Khalid Masood and MPA, Shaukat Yousafzai were also present on this occasion. The other political elites of Battagram district, who joined the PTI, were included ex MNA Taj Mohammad Tarand, ex District Nazim, Battagram, Attaullah Khan Tarand and Zubair Khan Allai.

The Chairman PTI welcomed the new comers and hoped that their joining to PTI will further strengthen the party in Hazara Division. Describing Battagram and picturesque Allai a great attraction for not only local but international tourists as well, Imran Khan said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa govt can generate heavy revenue from tourism promotion activities in the area.

He proposed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa govt should review the prospects for declaring Allai Tehsil as national park in a bid to conserve ecological environment and rare wildlife. He was of the view that declaring Allai as national park will pave the way for infrastructure development in the district. He asked the Battagram political elders to cooperate with the provincial govt in its efforts for protecting forests.

On this occasion Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak also welcomed Yousaf Tarand, Akbar Namoos of Allai and other political figures for joining the ranks of PTI and remarked that under the present political scenario the PTI agenda was the best option for them to put the district on the path of progress and prosperity.

He said that seasoned and wise politicians of Battagram and Allai can bring a positive and sustainable economic change if they join hands.mhe said that other political parties were trying to make alliances against PTI  they even then won’t be able to defeat PTI as it enjoys great popularity among the masses.

The cm assured to take all possible measures for solving developmental problems of Battagram. He said that potential for power generation in Battagram district will be fully exploited and funds will be allocated in the next budget for initiating new power projects in the area.

Expressing confidence in the leadership of Imran Khan Yousaf Tarand said that PTI agenda for change had influence them to join PTI. He said that joined PTI for uplift of their area and not for any personal gains.
