Four killed, four injured in road mishaps

KARACHI: Four people died and four others injured in separate road accidents in the metropolis on Thursday.

Three persons, Abdur Rahim, 40, son of Haji Abdul Ghani, Irshad, 30, son of Sattar Khan, and Mir Ghafoor, 35, were killed and Abdul Ghaffar, 36, injured when a dumper-truck and a trailer-truck collided near Quetta Molana Hotel in New Musharraf Colony, Baldia Town area. The bodies and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK).

A woman, Zarina, 40, wife of Nazir was killed and a man, Naveed, 70, son of Ghalib injured when a speeding vehicle hit them in Shafiq Morr area of North Karachi. The body and injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH).

In another accident, two men, Ghulam Nabi, 30, and Ghulam Mahmood, 26, were injured when their car went out of control on Port Qasim Road. They were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment.
