Four killed in city incidents

KARACHI: Four peoples were killed and four others injured in separate incidents of violence in the city on Tuesday.

Two men, Moizullah, 40, son of Rizwan, and Saeed Ibtizarul Hasan, 42, son of Ibrarul Hasan, were badly injured when unidentified armed men opened fire on their car near Wasim Bagh in 13-D area, Gulshan-e-Iqbal. Then, on the way to hospital the victims succumbed to injuries.

Sources added that the victims were stated to be associates of Awami National Party and the incident seemed to be target killing. The bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for post-mortem.

A woman, Mubina, 33, wife of Shahid, was tortured and shot dead at a house near Qatar Morr in Shah Faisal area, Orangi Town. The body was shifted to ASH for medico-legal formalities.

Separately, a man, Rasool Bukhsh, 32, son of Ghulam Rasool, was axed to death near National Highway in Gujjo area. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Makli for an autopsy.

Some unidentified assailants attacked a police mobile van with a cracker bomb near Makka Hotel at Baba Morr in New Karachi. Three police officials, including ASI Farooq, aged 45, and a constable, were injured in the incident. The injured were brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.

A man, Orangzaib, 40, son of Pir Hasan, was injured when unidentified armed men opened fire on him in Allah Wala Town, Korangi Crossing. The injured was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment.
