Four killed in city

KARACHI: Four peoples lost their lives while nine others injured in different incidents of violence in the city on Thursday. Nadir Shah, 40, son of Muzaffar Shah was shot dead on land dispute.

According to Station House Officer (SHO) PS. Zaman Town, accused Riaz and his accomplices killed Nadir Shah son of Muzaffar Shah, resident of 4-Pole Korangi No.5, over plot dispute and escaped. The body was shifted to Jinnah Post graduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for an autopsy.

In another incident, two alleged accused Shakeel Ahmed and Mohammad Shafi were arrested in injured condition on Tariq Road.

According to Station House Officer (SHO) PS Ferozabad, unknown accused came on car No ARN-950 a Service Road, Tipu Sultan Signal and an encounter took place between them and police. Resultantly, two accused, Shakeel Ahmed son of Mohammad Ayoub aged about 35 years and Mohammad Shafi son of Mohammad Hussain aged about 30 years, were arrested in injured condition & police recovered 2 TT pistols from their possession. Both were shifted to JPMC for treatment.

According to police, in another encounter took place between police and dacoits at Khyaban-e-Sahil Block-1 Clifton, an unknown dacoit was killed, while his accomplice managed to escape. One pistol with 3 rounds and a motorcycle (KBF-1207) was recovered. The body was shifted to JPMC for an autopsy.

In another incident, one Abdul Qayoom, 23, son of Akram Khan died while other Haji Adam, 25, son of Mohammad Younus injured in firing incident near Memon Society, Kharadar Market. Both were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK).

In yet another incident, unknown person aged about 40, was gunned down by unknown assailants near Boat Basin. The body was shifted to JPMC for an autopsy.

One Abdullah, 20, son of Nazeer Khan, was injured in firing of unknown persons near Nazimabad Number 2. He was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for treatment.

One Asif, resident of Mehmoodabad, was injured during resistance to robbery on Mehmoodabad Parsi Gate.

Medical Legal Officer (MLO) Jinnah Hospital confirmed that a person namely Mohammad Asif son of Ghulam Nabi aged 52 years was brought injured from Parsi Gate due to firing of unknown accused.

In a road accident, one Akram, 25, son of Mohammad Ghani, was injured at Keamari Gate No 15. He was shifted to CHK for treatment.

In another road accident, one Saleem, 55, son of Allah Wasayo, was injured in Defence Phase 1, Khayaban-e-Shehbaz. He was shifted to JPMC for treatment.

One Raju, 20, son of Mustafa Kamal was also injured in vehicle collision at KDA Surjani. He was shifted to ASH for treatment.
