Four killed in encounters

KARACHI: Four alleged criminals were gunned down by police and rangers in different encounters in metropolis on Wednesday. Two criminals, unidentified, aged around 25, and 28, were killed by rangers near Northern Bypass in an encounter. According to sources rangers raided after receiving secret information about the presence of terrorists.

Criminals opened fire on rangers and after encounter two men were killed, who are said to belonging to TTP. The bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico legal formalities.

Separately, police killed an unidentified accused, aged around 28, after encounter near Qasba Colony in Orangi town. The body was shifted to ASH for an autopsy.

In a separate action police killed an unidentified criminal, aged around 25, after encounter near Pirabad police station in Orangi town. The body was shifted to ASH for an autopsy.
