Four killed, one injured in city violence

KARACHI: Four people including two women were killed and one other injured in different violence incidents in the metropolis on Saturday.

25-year-old man was gunned down by unknown armed men in Lyari Expressway. The body was shifted to abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy.

The bodies of a woman, Sakina, 35, wife of Abid and her eight-year daughter, Mahwish, was recovered from a flatae near Jauher Police Station, Street 29, Block 4 in Gulistan-e-Jauher area. The bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for the autopsies. According to rescue sources both the deceased were stabbed. Police said that deceased woman was wife of police constable Abid and Mahwish was their daughter. They said it could not determine the motive behind murder and further investigations has been started.

20 days old body of an unidentified man, aged about 25, was recovered from Mushraf Colony in Baldia Town area. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for a postmortem.

In another incident, a man, Tabish, 30, son of Naseem, was injured to dacoits when he offered resistance to them in a bid of robbery in Hooty Market, Ranchore Line. He was rushed to CHK for treatment.
