Four killed, one injured in city

KARACHI: Five people including two women were killed and two others injured in different violence incidents in the metropolis on Saturday.

25-year-old man was gunned down by unknown armed men in Lyari Expressway. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for an autopsy.

The bodies of a woman, Sakina, 35, wife of Abid and her eight-year daughter, Mahwish, were recovered from a flat near Jauher Police Station, Street 29, Block 4 in Gulistan-e-Jauher area. The bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for the autopsies.

According to rescue sources both the deceased were stabbed to death.

Police said that deceased woman was wife of police constable Abid and Mahwish was their daughter. They said the motive behind murder was yet to be ascertained and further investigation was under way.

A 20 days old body of an unidentified man, aged about 25, was recovered from Musharraf Colony in Baldia Town area. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for a postmortem.

A man was killed by unknown gunmen in Gulbahar, Nazimabad area. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. The deceased could not be identified as yet.

In another incident, a man, Tabish, 30, son of Naseem, was injured to dacoits when he offered resistance to them in a bid of robbery in Hooty Market, Ranchore Line. He was rushed to CHK for treatment.

In another bid of robbery a man, Rashid, 45, was wounded to dacoits when he confronted to them near UP Morre in North Karachi. He was shifted to ASH for treatment.
