Four killed, one injured in metropolis

KARACHI: Four persons were killed and one other injured in different violence incidents here on Tuesday.

A gate keeper, Imran Bihari, 30, son of Saeed, was found dead in the house in Gulishan-e-Iqbal Block No 7. According to police sources, police had arrested a person Iliyas Bihari, who was allegdly involved in this murder and he had confessed to killing Imran with axes.

Police said driver Ilyas had said that gate keeper Imran kept a wrong eye on his life. He said Imran used offensive language about his wife which was not bearable for him.

Police said the accused Ilyas buried the body of Imran in the house where he worked as servant. However, the body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Another unknown person, aged about 25 to 28, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen near Munawar Chowrangi in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. The body was brought to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for medico-legal formalities.

Yet in another incident, a woman, Nosheen, 32, was found strangulated to death in her house in Landhi No. 36 Block C. The body was shifted to a private hospital for an autopsy.

Separately, a man, Anees Memon, 50, son of Mohammad Saddique, was gunned down by unknown armed men near Hollywood Bakri in Gulshan-e-Iqbal 13-D. The body was shifted to a private hospital. The motive behind killing could not be ascertained yet.

Meanwhile, a youth, Nasir, 27, son of Orangzaib, was shot and injured by unidentified armed men near Mirza Adam Khan road. He was brought to Civil Hospital for treatment.
