Fun-starved Karachiites get new recreational place

Karachi: A new entertainment place named Chunky Monkey (Fun for All) has been set up at SeaView Beach. Its inauguration was held amid huge firework, dance and musical program.

According to details, after Hyderabad, Multan and Lahore now a modern digital amusement activity Chunky Monkey has been opened in a three-storied building of SeaView Karachi. It has the facilities for children and families to use dodging cars, computerized games, indoor games and swings.

Former captain of Pakistan cricket team Waseem Akram along with Jahangir Khan, Shoaib Feroze and Irfan cut the ribbon to inaugurate the amusement facility. Waseem Akram on the occasion said that for children recreational activities are also necessary along with their education. He said games and recreation keep children fit and alert.

Jahangir Khan said that keeping in mind the shortage of recreational facilities in Karachi it was felt necessary to introduce the Chunky Monkey where families are provided ample opportunities of amusement.

Shoaib Feroz said they are committed to revive the past glory of the city of Quaid as the city of lights. He hoped with the support of people they would succeed in their mission.

Irfan Feroz said to change the routine life it is necessary to have some recreational activities. He said more steps are necessary to promote recreation and tourism.

On the occasion, ex test cricketer Shoaib Ahmed, ex-Olympian Salahuddin, Suhail Abbas, Shahid Ali Khan Zubeda Aapa and others were present.
