FUUAST inks MoU on plantation

KARACHI: There is lack of mechanism to take care of environmental degradation causing disastrous effects on human as well as on animals’ lives at vast level, said Federal Urdu University of Arts Science and Technology’s Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Suleman D Mohammad.

He was addressing a ceremony held in collaboration with Green Media Initiatives at the campus on Tuesday.

More and more plantation can save the lives on the earth, the VC added.

On the occasion, the FUUAST’s administration and Green Media Initiatives signed a Memorandum of Understating (MoU) to launch a plantation campaign in the metropolis.

The program was attended by Green Media Initiatives’ CEO Ms Shabina Faraz, Registrar Asif and large number of students and faculty members.

The VC said there is dire need of launching such campaigns for betterment of our environment. He said Sindh government should operate these campaigns in collaboration with NGOs working on environment in the province.

Shabina in her address said we have to enhance the plantation campaigns across the country so that pollution could be controlled. She said we have to make educated our children about the importance of plantation as after all they have to lead the country in future.
