General Raheel visits Quetta

QUETTA: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif visited Quetta Wednesday.

During his visit he met with Balochistan Governor Mohammad Khan Achakzai, Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch and Commander Southern Command Lt General Nasser Khan Janjua.

He also visited Headquarters Frontier corps Balochistan and reviewed security situation, progress of FC operations against terrorists. He expressed grief on brutal killing of poor, innocent labourers in Turbat. He vowed to support Balochistan Government to eliminate terrorists completely.

Army chief warned foreign states, intelligence agencies against trying to destabilize Pakistan by supporting terrorists in Balochistan. He aid we will defeat them comprehensively.

He commended law enforcement agencies for noticeable improvement in law and order. He vowed to stand by people of Balochistan to bring peace, prosperity.

He said Frontier Works Organisation would continue development projects.

COAS said we will unearth terrorists, abettors, sympathizers, financers and no one will find place in the country to hide. We will go to any length for writ of state, he added.

He highlighted security challenges of vast Balchistan and emphasized need to adopt integrated approach by civil and military leadership, law enforcement agencies for peaceful Balochistan.
