Governor orders waiving off university admission fee for one year for Chitrali students

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan has directed for waiving off the admission fee for one academic year by all the public sector universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in respect of the students belonging to Chitral district.

The directives were issued due to recent widespread flash floods in Chitral district which have ravaged a large part of the district paralyzing life there. The calamity has damaged multitude of hamlets and destroyed crops leaving thousands of the inhabitants homeless.

The Governor Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan greatly felt the agonies of the dwellers of Chitral district in this natural calamity and viewed that in this hour of difficulty the Chitral people deserved maximum relief on the part of the government.

In view of the huge loss inflicted to the district by the natural catastrophe the governor has asked all the public sector universities to waive off admission fee for the one academic year to all the Chitrali students and submit compliance report to the Governor’s Secretariat as soon as possible.

In this connection vice chancellors of all the public sector universities, director Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar and principal Edwards College, Peshawar have been informed of the governor’s directives for taking further necessary action.
