Govt committed to root out terrorism: Ikhlas

RAWALPINDI: Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Cabinet Division Javed Ikhlas has said that the government has pledged to root out terrorism.

He was addressing the closing ceremony of Posters Exhibition with the title of Tolerance and Peace in Society, organized at at Rawalpindi Arts Council here on Tuesday. Naheed Manzoor and Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed were also present on the occasion.

Ikhlas said: “Islam is the religion of peace where there is no repression but beneficial for humanity.” Manzoor said that the root cause of terrorism must be abolished so that Pakistan might be a peaceful country forever. Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed said that terrorism does not belong to Islam because the murder of one innocent is the murder of humanity. More than one hundred young artists participated in the competition.
