QUETTA: Balochistan Government has constituted tow committees to investigate killing of four polio workers here Wednesday. Of these one committees would be headed by Divisional director health while other committee would be headed by CCPO.
Relatives of polio workers killed in firing would be given Rupees one million each while Rupees 0.2 million each to injured persons.
This was announced Provincial Health Minister Rehmat Saleh Baloch and Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti jointly briefing Newsmen here this afternoon.
Secretary Health Arshad Hussain Bugti, DG health Naseer Ahmad Baloch, Deputy Commissioner Quetta Abdul Lateef Kakar and DGPR Kamran Asad were also present.
It is added here that four health workers including three women were killed in target killing here along Western By Pass here today.
The ministers said that attack on health team is anti human incident. Government has constituted tow committees headed by CCPO and DHO Quetta. These committees have been asked to submit their report within 24 hours to the provincial government. Any lapse with regard to security or any other would not be forgiven.
We all have to work jointly for the elimination of terrorism from Balochistan to foil conspiracies of elements having negative thinking.
Home Minister said Balochistan is situated in War zone and there are threats to polio teams and others. These would be faced with full force. Polio teams would be provided 100 percent security. After investigation of incident, responsible would be given stern punishment.
He said Media timely indicated the incident and helped government in time.
He expressed solidarity with families of those killed and said no one would be left alone. Provincial ministers visited the residences of deceased workers and expressed sympathy.
He said there is need to work unitedly to foil evil designs of those spreading terrorism.
Health Minister said that there is no knowledge of boycott of health volunteers nor any such thing was known.
He said full measures were underway for the security of polio teams. These measures were made earlier. If any health official was found lapsed action would be taken against them.
