Peshawar: The Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Communication & Works Akbar Ayub has taken notice of the demand of two & half percent amount in connection with the construction of Government Patwar Khana in Havelian, Abbottabad from the contractor in the name of acceptance (approval) by the officials of C&W Department and ordered to conduct an inquiry of the matter.
While giving directives to the Chief Engineer C&W in Peshawar on Monday, he said the provincial government is doing sincere efforts to eradicate all sort of corruption and bring crystal clear and transparent system. In this connection, zero tolerance would be observed.
It may be clarified here that the contractor doing the construction of the official Patwar Khana in the village Baghban Tehsil Havelian district Abbottabad has informed the Advisor through a written letter that the official of relevant department has demanded two & a half percent amount in the head of acceptance in regard of the construction of the Patwar Khana for which the Advisor Akbar Ayub took immediate notice and ordered to conduct an inquiry of the matter. He also directed the relevant authorities to immediately suspend the staff involved in this corruption, conduct an inquiry of the affair and present a report to him in this regard.
