Habib University welcomes its second batch

KARACHI: Habib University held an inauguration ceremony to welcome its second batch of students for the Fall Semester, commencing from September 2015. This will then be followed by pre-planned orientation activities in the week that follows.

President Wasif Rizvi formally welcomed the class of 2015 that has been given the title, ‘Habib University Pioneers’ to associate the upcoming batch with the development it will witness in the budding years of the institute that has embarked on a preeminent journey already.

“It is good to see a strong intake of students this year again and the emerging focus on a liberal arts education,” said President Rizvi.“As future leaders, it’s your responsibility now to make the most of your decision regarding the choice of profession and to outshine at a level that not only makes your institute proud but draws a positive image of your country as well. I am sure the bright faces that I see today are an asset to the society already, and the next four years will be a transformative learning experience for all of you.”

The event highlighted the achievements over the course of a year from the perspective of the various programs being offered and student advocates who shared their experience of having being associated with Habib University. Yusra Zehra, one of the Habib University Pioneers shared her experience and the values the University has inculcated in her through its holistic curriculum and internationally qualified faculty. “My association with Habib University has been extremely fruitful so far, from the excellent faculty to extra-curricular activities and world class campus,” she said.

Habib University is a project of House of Habib and a first of its kind liberal arts institution in Pakistan. A few of its unique features include foreign trained faculty, state-of-the-art campus, enriching student life, and generous scholarships and financial aid program for deserving students.
