Health: (Corruption in health sector to be eliminated: Saira)

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for National Health Regulations Saira Afzal Tarar has said that necessary steps will be taken for elimination of corruption in health sector.

Talking to the media here on Friday, she said, rules and regulations will be adhered in establishment of new medical colleges in the country. She urged the medical colleges to ensure merit in the admission process to improve the image of medical profession.

She said Pakistan Medical and Dental Council is an autonomous body and its recommendations for bringing improvement in the medical field will be implemented. She said if needed legislation will also be done for the purpose.
