Hearing on missing persons cases held

KARACHI: A large Bench of Commission of Enquiry on Enforced Disappearance at Karachi Bench was held regarding missing persons cases on 18th & 19th January 2016. Justice Javed Iqbal former Judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, President of Commission, presided over the hearing along with Justice Retd Dr Ghous Mohammad Member (ColoEd) Karachi at sub-office Karachi situated at Block 40-41 Pakistan Secretariat Sadar,Karachi.

Azhar Rasik Khan, PSP, DIGP/CB, Karachi (Focal Person for missing Persons) and Mohammad Altaf Awan, Inspector (Incharge Human Right Cell) also attended the commission as the representatives from the Sindh police department. During the hearing over all 32 cases were heard during the two days session, out of which 29 cases of missing persons were declared traced out and disposed off.
