High flood at Kotri Barrage recorded

LAHORE: The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:

Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: inflows 204000 cusecs and outflows 203300 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 41100 cusecs and Outflows 41100 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 28400 cusecs and Outflows 12000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 67500 cusecs and Outflows 38300 cusecs.

Barrages: Jinnah: inflows 268600 cusecs and outflows 266100 cusecs, Chashma: inflows 292000 cusecs and outflows 267700 cusecs, Taunsa: inflows 260000 cusecs and outflows 235500 cusecs, Panjnad: inflows 96000 cusecs and outflows 81700 cusecs, Guddu: inflows 391400 cusecs and outflows 363300 cusecs, Sukkur: inflows 391800 cusecs and outflows 336500 cusecs, Kotri: inflows 611400 cusecs and outflows 579600 cusecs.

Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1550 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 6.434 million acre feet (MAF). Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1241.45 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 7.362 MAF.

Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 647.60 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.224 MAF. The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
