Home minister for filling all vacancies in police deptt

KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Khan Sial today visited Karachi Police office, where he presided over a meeting at KPO.

IGP Sindh, Additional IGP Karachi, DIG Admin, Zonal DIGs, DIG CIA, District SSPs, SSPs investigation and others senior police officers attended the meeting.

Home Minister directed for constitution of committee to identify vacancies in police department and to put up report with regard to shortfall on urgent basis. He said that all the vacancies in the police department would be filled on early basis so as to overcome the shortfall issue.

He said that the government during the current financial year is also going for 10,000 more vacancies for the police department. Sohail Anwar while reviewing establishment of more police stations, according to the requirements, directed immediate opening of “Sahil” Police station at sea view.

He said the report in this regard must be submitted to him by tonight. He further said that there were many complaints of citizens regarding street crimes near and around “Do Darya”.

Home minister during the meeting also issued directives for establishment of a high power board at CPO level under the Chairmanship of IG Sindh to examine all policies, financial, administrative, welfare matters of Police department.
