KARACHI: The house job officers of Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) on Thursday staged a protect demonstration and sit-in outside the Karachi Press Club against non-payment of their four-month salaries.
Around 200 house job officers of CHK have been deprived of their salaries since last four months as the hospital management has failed to resolve this issue. They protesters were carrying placards and banners inscribed with different slogans leke ensure early release of salaries and we want justice for doctors and stop injustice with doctors.
A house job officer Dr Bilal while talking to media persons said they were serving in different wards of hospital but had been deprived of salaries since last four months. He said: “We are passing through economic crises and facing great hardship due to non-payment of their salaries.”
He said administration of hospital was not coordinating with doctors despite many requests. House job officers would boycott their OPD duties if the administration does not release their salaries till 27 October 2014, he warned.
