Ibad hopes better cardiac care facilities for citizens

KARACHI: Governor Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ibad Khan said on Thursday that Dow University of Health Sciences is example of excellence in healthcare sector which has proved its worth during last 12 years through hard work and sincerity.

He said that Dow Institute of Cardiology is the third biggest government institute of heart disease care which is providing better healthcare facilities to citizens.

He said this in the ceremony organized on the eve of completion of 12 years to Dow University of Health and Science.

On this occasion, Governor also inaugurated gas power plant for the Sindh University, the institute of cardiology and surgery centre and also handed over the keys of newly made apartments of to the employers of the DUHS at Ojha campus.

He said that he feels very proud that he is the part of the unprecedented growth of the DUHS because being the chancellor of the university he had tried his best for betterment of this university, its extension and for making it independent institute.

He said that the university is now busy in giving education in its 63 institutes. He said for this the faculty, administration and Prof Masood Hameed deserve congratulations. He said it is important move of the university to provide residential apartments to its employees. He said that due the establishment of Institute of cardiology, and surgery centre the university would provide better medical facilities to people of city and province. He lauded the completion of gas power plant.

Acting Vice Chancellor Masood Hameed said that Governor Sindh has played important role in the establishment and development of the university. He said without his personal keen interest the university would have never got this distinction.
