IG Sindh for strict merit in transferring cases to military courts

KARACHI: Inspector General of Police Sindh Ghulam Hyder Jamali has said on Thursday that no any case would be sent to military courts unless it is completely studied by relevant police officials.

He directed officials concerned to ensure merit while transferring the cases to military courts.

This he said while presiding over a departmental meeting to review the transfer of cases to military courts held at CPO office Karachi on Thursday.

The meeting was attended by AIGP Special Branch A.D Khuwaja, AIGP Counter Terrorism Department Sanaullah Abbasi, AIGP Operation Sindh and all DIGPs.

It was also decided at the meeting that the list would be formulated of those cases that were related to terrorism and other extreme level crime committed against the state and then it would be sent to military courts.

IG insisted officials to study the cases from all angles and then transfer them to military courts. He also said that departmental directives will be sent to all DIGPs in this regard.
