IGP for special training in intelligence collection

Karachi: Inspector General of Police Ghulam Haider Jamali has stressed the need of holding special training courses in intelligence gathering to raise professional capacity of Sindh police.

Inaugurating a training room in central police office here Tuesday, he said under the proactive policing special training courses should be conducted for officers of special branch, CTD and crime branch to hone up their intelligence gathering skills. He said without introducing professionalism in police the crime graph cannot be lowered down.

On the occasion, DIG South/ Training Sindh Dr Jameel Ahmed said in all police training centres special courses in dealing with improvised explosive devises, bombs, terrorism are being conducted. He said training courses on human rights, modern police investigation and forensic science are also being held in the police training centres of Sindh.
