IGP takes notice of torture on handicapped person

KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali on Wednesday took the notice of alleged torturing of mentally retarded person and putting him into custody by Hatri police station of Hyderabad. He issued order for suspension of accused SHO and personnel involved in the incident.

The IGP instructed DIG Hyderabad to send him a detailed report about the incident based on impartial probe and necessary actions taken in this regard.
