IMCHF starts relief activities in Thar

KARACHI: The Emergency Response Unit of International Maternal and Child Health Foundation (IMCHF) has dispatched a team of doctors in drought-affected Tharparkar district to provide medical facilities to affectees.

Project Director, Emergency Response Unit of IMCHF Dr Atif Saeed Anjum in his statement said two-day free medical camp has organized in Thar district where 570 patients have been provided medicines worth of 80,000, 1,000 food packs, 1,000 ORS packets and special food has been distributed among pregnant women to prevent them from malnutrition.

He said team of doctors comprised on gynecologists, pediatricians, skin specialists, orthopedic and Psychiatrists examined the patients and provided medicines to them. He said 213 women, 146 men and 211 children have been provided medical facilities in two-day free camp.
