Indus River at high flood

LAHORE: The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:

Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 375000 cusecs and Outflows 345800 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 102900 cusecs and Outflows 102900 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 69300 cusecs and Outflows 73200 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 97500 cusecs and Outflows 73100 cusecs.

Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 455100 cusecs and Outflows 453700 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 551500 cusecs and Outflows 548500 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 597700 cusecs and Outflows 597700 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 130800 cusecs and Outflows 128800 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 722400 cusecs and Outflows 700600 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 709300 cusecs and Outflows 660300 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 371400 cusecs and Outflows 359300 cusecs.

Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1549 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 6.377 million acre feet (MAF). Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1236.70 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 6.988 MAF.

Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 642 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.073 MAF. The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
