Indus River flood position

LAHORE: The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:

Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 343600 cusecs and Outflows 343100 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 70700 cusecs and Outflows 70700 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 46600 cusecs and Outflows 36800 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 97000 cusecs and Outflows 75700 cusecs.

Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 367900 cusecs and Outflows 367900 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 461800 cusecs and Outflows 457100 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 478900 cusecs and Outflows 473900 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 123500 cusecs and Outflows 114400 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 659300 cusecs and Outflows 636500 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 698600 cusecs and Outflows 647300 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 570100 cusecs and Outflows 540300 cusecs.

Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1550.00 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 6.434 million acre feet (MAF). Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1237.85 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 7.077 MAF.

Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 642.00 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.073 MAF. The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
