Peshawar : Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has ordered to initiate inquiry against two officers of Public Health Engineering department. The decision to this effect was made in a high level meeting chaired by Minister PHE Shah Farman in Civil Secretariat Peshawar on Thursday.
Secretary PHE Nizamuddin, Chief Engineer (North) Arif Khan, Chief Engineer (South) Sanobar Khan, Director Anti-Corruption Ziaullah Khan Toru, Director PHE Abdul Sami and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
According to details, inquiry would soon be initiated against XEN Shahid Mehmood and SDO Sameer Gandapur of PHE department for various allegations of corruption.
The meeting also decided to establish a Monitoring Cell of PHE Department at provincial level in the office of Secretary PHE which will scrutinize records and performances of the officers and officials of the department.
The meeting was told that Superintending Engineers have been made bound to check pace of work, quality and quantity of five to ten schemes every month and in case of any irregularity, to send their report to provincial anti-corruption department for further inquiry. The meeting was further told that Superintending Engineers have also been made bound to check the completed schemes randomly at the end of each financial year.
