Peshawar: Director General Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority Air Marshal (Retd) Muhammad Yousaf said that instrument landing system (ILS) is being installed at Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar which will facilitate in landing of flight day and night.
Talking to the reporters at Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar GG CAA said that Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority is working to make the Air Space more secure and safe. CAA is installing state of art communication system which will help in speeding up the communication process and will facilitate Air Traffic Controllers in transmitting and receiving the data in real time. He also said that in addition to induction of new radars, training of Air Traffic Controller has been started.
DG CAA examined in detail facilities being provided at Bacha Khan International airport, Peshawar to passengers and directed officials to further improve the facilities and said that any discrepancies won’t be tolerated. He further said that Terminal Building of Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar is being expanded which will help in improving the facilities being provided to passengers.
During briefing by the Airport Manager, he gave approval of civil works to improve the facilities for making passengers more comfortable. While addressing the CAA employees, he stressed on improving thee attitude toward passengers as sole purpose of their employment was comfort and security of the passengers.
DG CAA told the reporters that operations of flights at Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar is completely safe and he requested them to quash the baseless rumors regarding the safety of flights at Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar as these rumors not only prove the detrimental to operation of Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority but also to the nation as a whole. DG CAA also requested reporters that prior to publication of any such news please verify such news by contracting thee airport Manager or the Public Relations Manager.
