Intercity bus project today

KARACHI: The Sindh government will inaugurate a project of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Intercity Bus Project on Tuesday, which would connect Karachi with five divisional headquarters of the province.

The public-private project would be operational under the South Korean company, Daewoo. This is a 500 bus project but initially 50 buses would be launched and then 50 others after a few months in the first phase and after that 100 buses would be launched each year for the other four years, told an official.

“This Rs2 billion project would offer a cost-effective, timesaving and environmental friendly travel from Karachi to Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Benazirabad and Larkana.”
