International Youth Day celebrated

KARACHI: Youth Empowering Spaces (YES) on Wednesday organized a programme in Hyderabad to mark the International Youth Day.

Youth Empowering Spaces is a collaborative project of Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh and Habib University Foundation (HUF). The activities of the day followed the theme ‘Youth Civic Engagement’ to promote awareness about civic responsibilities and inspire youth to contribute towards development of Pakistan.

Asif Hyder Shah, Commissioner Hyderabad, Government of Sindh, attended the event as chief guest and Mohammad Rashid, Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, graced the event the guest of honour. Other guests included Irfan Sayani, an entrepreneur and leadership trainer, Waqar Ahmed Waqar, a debater and educationist, and Samad Abbas Zaidi, a motivational trainer. More than 250 young Pakistanis attended the event.
