Sialkot: The concerned Information Technology (IT) experts have successfully removed the technical faults from FBR’s online registration system at Regional Tax Directorate Sialkot, providing a sigh of relief to the thousands of the local tax payers in Sialkot region.
Local senior FBR officials told that now the technical faults have been removed from FBR’s said online system, which had perturbed a large number of the local tax payers, which remained unable to submit their online tax returns due to these technical faults, which lasted more than two weeks.
The thousands of the tax payers were facing great difficulties in ensuring the online submission of their tax returns before the final deadline of October 31, 2014 ends here. Only a week has left behind, but the technical faults were not being located and removed by the concerned IT officials of FBR.
The hundreds of the tax payers have expressed grave concern over this critical situation. Meanwhile, President Sialkot Tax Bar Association (STBA) Shahid Mehmood has urged the Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to extend the final deadline of online submission of the tax returns till December 31, 2014 for facilitating the thousands of the tax payers and brining the maximum people under the tax net, in this regard.
According to the senior officials of FBR here, the FBR had fixed a target of 150000 October 31, 2014 for ensuring the online submission of such big number of the tax returns by the tax returns as final date for submitting the tax returns from the region.
