Karachi: The 23rd edition of Maple Leaf Cement Pakistan ITF Seniors World Ranking Tennis Championship 2015 commences today (Monday) at Bagh-e-Jinnah Tennis Courts in Lahore.
Punjab Lawn Tennis Association (PLTA) Secretary General Rasheed Malik, who is also the Tournament Director of this event, said that ten Indian and two French players will participate in this seven-day event.
Arif Qureshi, who is a White Badge ITF referee, will be the chief referee in this tournament.
The tournament will be contested in different senior age categories ranging from 35 to 65. Apart from the expected participation of foreigners as mentioned above, more than fifty local players will take part in this tournament.
On Sunday, one Indian player Prasad Atpe reached Lahore and started practicing at the tournament venue. It is expected that all Indian players will reach Lahore by Tuesday.
