KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Naib ameer and candidate on NA-246, Karachi, Rashid Naseem has demanded installation of biometric system and all other means for foolproof verification of voters to make the by-polls on NA-246 free, fair and transparent.
Addressing at JI Women’s Convention at ‘Parda Park’ in Liaquatabad here on Wednesday, Rashid Naseem said that the JI has always raised a strong voice against the rigging in last general elections. He said the confessions of accused arrested during the ongoing targeted operation have already unveiled the real face of heavy mandate in Karachi.
He said that after the successful JI Jalsa on April 12, a public gathering of JI Women Wing scheduled on April 17 at Shara-e-Pakistan will reflect the real mandate of the people of Karachi.
Rashid Naseem said that the women of the constituency NA-246 with their power of vote will bring a change in Karachi by rejecting those who have tarnished the image of city.
He hailed the efforts of JI women workers in connection with the ongoing election campaign of the party.
Separately, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Amir Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman on Wednesday submitted documental evidence and video films before the judicial commission in connection with the massive rigging witnessed in general elections-2013.
Meanwhile, JI delegation comprised of Hafiz Naeem, Naib Ameer JI Pakistan Mian Aslam and JI Media Coordinator Shahid Shamsi also met with the Chief Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Sardar Raza Khan at his office and briefed the Chief Election Commissioner about the registration of fake votes in the Constituency of NA-246.
