JI demands regularization of contract employees

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chief Hafiz Engr. Naeem-ur-Rehman has demanded regularization of contract employees of the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA).

Talking to a delegation of the SBCA contract employees at the Idara Noor e Haq, he assured them that JI would fully support their due demands.

He said that through legislation in 2013, the Sindh government has regularized a large number of contact employees. It is a matter of grave concern and sheer injustice, if the contract employees of the SBCA are deprived of their right.

The delegation briefed the JI leader on how the affected employees are being discriminated. They also informed that the affected employees have been deprived of their salaries for last four months and they along with their families are now facing hunger.

Engr. Naeem demanded of Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah to take the notice of this issue and resolve it on urgent basis.
