JI district council demands to ensure freedom of expression

Peshawar: Jamat-e-Islami district Peshawar on Thursday to ensure freedom of speech and no channel in Pakistan should be banned instead all TV channels must respect the Islamic injunctions.

Democracy should be strengthen as country could not afford any illegal and unconstitutional act, said a resolution passed in district council meeting which was also attended by Zonal chiefs of the party.

The meeting passed the resolution said that freedom of expression is an important right if this right is curbed all other rights would also be gagged therefore freedom of expression should be ensured.

The resolution said that no unconstitutional and undemocratic act in the country will be accepted and every such act would be resisted.

The resolution also demanded re-opening of the closed Feeders in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa and urged Pesco to control load shedding.

Addressing the meeting JI district chief Bahrullah said that JI is gaining popularity in the masses therefore JI workers should take interest in solution of the problems of public.
