JI plans Nazims’ convention

Karachi: With next local government elections in sight the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has planned to hold a ‘Nazims’ Convention’ on April 1 (Wednesday) at Idara-e-Noor Haq after Maghrib prayers.

A statement issued here Monday, said that JI Pakistan Central Secretary Liaquat Baloch will address the convention in which he will announce to start a “public contact campaign” with the slogan “Islami Pakistan, progressive Pakistan” from April 3 to April 15.

Baloch will also announce the details of the public campaign, which was earlier announced by the JI amir Siraj-ul-Haq.
