JI to become party before judicial commission

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami leadership has decided to become a party before Judicial Commission to submit its stance regarding massive rigging in the General Elections-2013 in Karachi.

According to a statement here Tuesday, the JI has already collected all relevant evidences including documental proofs and video films of rigging on the Election Day, May-11, which it would present before the Judicial Commission on April-15 (Wednesday).

The decision was taken in a meeting convened by JI Karachi General Secretary Abdul Wahab at Idara-e-Noor Haq, attended by Naib Ameers Dr Wasay Shakir, Muslim Pervez, Deputy Secretary Sabir Ahmed, Ameer JI District West Abdur Razzaq Khan, Taufeequddin Siddiqui, Qazi Sadruddin, Abdul Waheed Advocate, Aamir Advocate and others.

The meeting reviewed the evidences regarding rigging. It noted that terrorists on gunpoint had held the entire electoral process hostage.

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) had already demanded to declare the May-13 polls as “null and void”, because of the massive rigging on the Election Day.
