Karachi: Karachi Secondary Board outclassed BISE Larkana by nine wickets in All-Pakistan Inter Board T20 Cricket Championship here Tuesday at Asghar Ali Shah Stadium.
Larkana colts batted first in the match and put on board a paltry total of 94 runs with Ali Hyder being the lone fighter with 41 runs. Mohammad Alam took two wickets while four of Larkana batsmen got run out.
Karachi Secondary Board in response easily achieved the target losing only one wicket of Hammad Alam, who made 54 runs. Ashiq was the other batsman to have batted well and remained unbeaten with 35.
Meanwhile, BISE Faisalabad beat BISE Mardan by three wickets in a thrilling nail biting match played earlier in the day at the same venue. Batting first, Mardan Board scored 130 before losing all of their wickets. Wasim Khan batted well for the side scoring 53 runs.
In reply, Faisalabad made a disastrous start losing six wickets for only 44 runs. But then Ali Hasnain and Mohammad Navaid rescued their team from clutches of an apparent defeat. The duo managed a match winning partnership of 63 runs. Ali Hasnain was the key player for Faisalabad scoring 73 runs.
