Khairpur bus accident: Bodies sent to native areas; FIR, petition lodged

Khairpur, Sindh: The dead bodies of fifty victims of fatal bus accident near here were shifted to their native areas Wednesday. Forty-two bodies were sent to Swat, three to Battagram while one body was shifted to Mardan. However, 11 bodies were shifted to Karachi.

The ill-fated bus, carrying 80 passengers was going from Swat to Karachi when it collided head-on with the truck near here on Tuesday, leaving a 58 people including women and children were dead.

Meanwhile SHO Shah Hussain police station Khairpur lodged FIR of incident against National Highway Authority.

However, a lawyer, Shamsuddin Rajper filed petition with Sindh High Court Sukkur bench against IG Motorway Police, DG, GM National Highway Authority (NHA) and other. The court issued notice to respondents and directed them to appear before the court on November 26, 2014.
