Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government is going to hold an IT Conference with the name of “Digital Youth Summit 2014”, the first ever of its kind in the history of Pakistan. The two days event will be held in Peshawar on 21st and 22nd instant in which more than 300 IT experts and delegates from Pakistan and various other countries will participate.
This was disclosed by Provincial Minister for Information Technology, Shahram Khan Tarakai in a press conference here on Wednesday. Shahram told that the event would be arranged by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa IT Board in collaboration with the World Bank.
The event consists of an “Expo” and “Conference” in which three important IT related topics i.e. freelancing, Innovation and Start-ups, will come under discussion. He further told that the event aimed at enabling the youth of the province to start online business, showcase their talents and promote an aptitude for IT in them.
“There will be a special session for children in the event in which they will be provided all types of information about computer programming”, IT Minister said adding that the Expo will be open for everyone to participate.
