Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has removed the condition of No Objection Certificate (NOC) for establishing any industry in the province.
Briefing the media after the provincial cabinet meeting, minister for information and broadcasting Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani said that cabinet on Thursday approved that NOC will not be required to establish any industrial unit except of unit used for manufacture of currency paper and mint, alcohol, arms and ammunition, radioactive substances and explosive material. The decision has been taken to attract the investors to establish new industrial units in the province he said,
Cabinet, he said also approved amendment in Local Government Act 2013 according to which if a district, town and tehsil nazim would fail to pass the budget for the respective councils then 20% members of the council will summon the council’s meeting asking the nazim to take vote of confidence and if he failed then he would not remain on his seat.
Mushtaq Ghani said cabinet also approved amendment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Medical Teaching Institute Reforms Act 2015 empowering the chair person of board of governor of Medical directors teaching institutions to appoint officiating directors of hospitals, deans, medical directors, Nursing directors and finance directors.
Cabinet also approved the policy of potable water in the province he said adding that additional IG operation Naim Khan has briefed the cabinet about the overall security situation in the province.
