Karachi: A joint delegation of Karachi Press Club (KPC) and Karachi Union of Journalists (KUJ), Dastoor on Monday met with Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chapter amir Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman at Idara-e-Noor Haq and expressed sympathy on traffic incident in which JI Naib Ameer, Karachi Nasrullah Khan Shajih drowned into River Kunhar while saving the life of a student Sufyan Asim last week.
The delegation was comprised of PFUJ (Dastoor), Pakistan President Idrees Bakhtiar, PFUJ (Burna), Pakistan Secretary General Khursheed Abbasi, KPC President Imtiaz Khan Faran, General Secretary Aamir Latif, General Secretary KUJ (Dastoor) Rizwan Bhatti, senior journalists Humayoun Aziz, Nasrullah Chaudhry, Liaquat Mughal, Hamid-ur-Rehman and others.
JI Karachi General Secretary Abdul Wahab, Naib Ameer JI Karachi Muslim Pervez and JI Secretary Information Zahid Askari and others were also present.
Hafiz Naeem appraised the delegation about the rescue operation being continued for the search of Nasrullah Khan Shajih and student Sufyan Asim.
Furthermore, a delegation of Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP) led by its General Secretary Ahmed Shah also visited Idara-e-Noor Haq and met JI Karachi General Secretary Abdul Wahab.
The ACP delegation was comprised of Prof. Sehar Ansari, Shahnaz Siddiqui, Asjad Bukhari, Kashif Girami, Abdul Basit, Moeez Qazi and others.
They prayed for the safety of Nasrullah Khan Shajih and Sufyan Asim.
