KU holiday

KARACHI: University of Karachi would organize the walk to show the solidarity with Pakistan’s National Institutions on August 13, 10:30 am, in the reference of Independence Day of 2015 at the campus.

In a statement on Tuesday KU’s Students’ Advisor Prof Dr Syed Ansar Rizvi said that Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Qaiser would lead the walk from Azadi Chowk to the Administration building and it would be participated by all Deans of faculties, sectional heads, chairpersons of departments, students and teachers.

On the occasion, Dr. Qaiser, Dr. Jaffar Ahmed and Mr. Khuwaja Razi Haider would address while national flag would be hoisting with prayers for the prosperity of the country.

On other hand, University of Karachi and affiliated colleges shall remain closed on Friday August 14, 2015 on account of Independence Day while Freedom Day programs would be held at ground floor New Administration Building at 8:30 am.

KU’s VC Prof. Dr. Mohammad Qaiser would conduct the flag hoisting and deliver the address to the audience. Special prayers would be made at the end of program for progress, prosperity of Pakistan and martyred students in Army Public School Peshawar.
