KARACHI: University Of Karachi has announced on Monday to start a Social Media Urdu Service and organize the first international Urdu Social Media Summit on 8th May 2015 at H.E.J Auditorium.
Talking at a press conference, founder of Urdu service Amir Malik said that the aim to conduct the summit is to bring together the scholars under one roof who are struggling for promotion of Urdu language as they could share their experiences, find new ways and go forward in the field of Internet.
He said the main feature of this program is to bestow the prizes to the most active persons in the field for their encouragement and involving them to bring positive change in the Urdu language on Internet.
Leader of Karachi University Journalist Association (KUJAA) Umair Ansari said KU always supports the teaching and non-teaching activities regarding the promotion of Urdu language.
He said the summit would discuss the topics relating to E-commerce, online marketing, war between traditional and new media and also to hold dialogues on politics and social reforms.
