LG polling begins peacefully in Karachi

Karachi: Polling process for the third phase of local government elections began peacefully in Karachi amid low turnout in morning.

Overall the polling started peacefully. At majority of polling stations political activists were seen providing transport facilities to the voters, which was against the code of conduct. Though there was ban on carrying mobile phones inside the polling stations; however, many voters carry their mobile phones with them. However, there was no leniency in checking of original national identity cards.

Strict law and order situation was witnessed in whole city. The government of Sindh has already declared December 05 as public holiday.
