LANDIKOTAL: LI chief Mangal Bagh’s son and commander killed at Speen Kabar in Bara . Unknown gunmen opened indiscriminate firing and killed the banned Lashker Islam ( LI ) chief son identified as Israfeel Khan and his commander Hanif Khan. Bara based administration official has confirmed the incident.

The killing of the banned LI chief son Israfeel is a big blow back to the LI and his chief, local sources said. LI chief has lost his son, sources added. Till filing this report any person or militant group has not claimed responsibility for killing Mangal Bagh’s son in Bara here on Saturday. The murder of the LI chief’s son is a turning point in the disorder in the area, locals observed.

During the ongoing military operation in Bara sub division of Khyber Agency the security forces has reportedly killed six suspected militants.

The forces sources told, a troop was also martyred and another sustained injuries in the ongoing arm battle in Aka Khel, Sipah, Malikdin Khel and Bar-Kamber Khel areas of tehsil Bara.

The sources told that the son of Mangal Bagh identified as Israfeel and a commander, Hanif were shot dead by unknown armed persons here in Speen Kabar area of Bara, political administration sources told.

One brother was killed another got injured when they came under firing of the forces while violating rules of curfew in the operation, sources said. They were identified as Haider and Younas, sources said.

LI commander Haji Mualem, who surrendered along with his hundred colleagues were shifted to Melwat cantonment of forces, sources told.

Evacuation of the area is also in progress and about 250 families of Bara tribesmen have crossed Lala Kandow of tehsil Jamrud and moved to down town into safer places through Ali Masjid, locals told.

The officials vowed that the forces offensive will be carried on till the elimination of all anti sicial and anti-state elements.
